This article is unmistakeably a PR vehicle — it takes a very upbeat tone and it’s not exactly talking about a rigorous scientific study with its 1000 - person survey. But I thought it was an interesting insight into how, for at least some workers, the post-pandemic partial return to the office has changed how they work, and how they choose to organize their work. That factor of “choice” hasn’t always been the case in most peoples’ work, and the fact that at least some workers are exerting more control over their day-to-day has significant implications for governance, organizations and communities.
The respondents (we don’t know how they were selected) indicate that they are choosing to schedule both work and personal activities around the fact that sometimes they are working at the workplace, and other times they are working at home.
