Future Here Now: Future-Proof or Future-Ready?
Note: I screwed up. I was at the American Planning Association Conference earlier this week in Philadelphia, and I made two mistakes:
1) I had the first two segments for this week written, but got busy and didn’t send them.
1.5) I saw a bunch of people I haven’t seen in years and had entirely too much fun.
2) I had a screamingly early flight Wednesday, came home and crashed out for like 6 hours.
So, I’m going to give you two of the five pieces today, and the other three tomorrow.
Try It On
Imagine that you have a new puppy, and you are starting to train her to go outside. You’ve got her constrained to a small part of your house, you have a generous supply of treats. So the basics are covered. Now, you have two options:
Spend all day following her around, grabbing her any time she sniffs or circles and running her outside. By the end of the day, you have only a few stains on your floor, but you’re blind exhausted and you’ve gotten nothing…
