Future Here Now: the First Principles Series

Hi, all. Thanks for the week off — I just got back from a week in one of my favorite places (Door County, Wisconsin) with a few of my favorite people (my kids). Eh, I like my husband, too :-D

I’m going to spend the next few weeks on a series that examines some of the key premises that I laid out in The Local Economy Revolution Has Arrived: What’s Changed and How You Can Help. That is my 2013 book that I revised in 2022.

I’ve referred to these in the past as the First Principles — the core underpinnings of pretty much all of my thinking. They’re the key characteristics that seem likely to define the emerging Fusion Era (the thing that comes after the Industrial Era, in other words, the era that we’re living in now and for the foreseeable future).

A lot of you have been around here for a while, and maybe even some of you have read the book (if not, you can get it at the link above). So hopefully this isn’t too much repeat. But some of you are new, and I thought it might be helpf…
